ParticipantSuddenly started having a problem with aisle maintenance. The SAVE button has disappeared from the window. Only the CANCEL button is visable when adding a new aisle. The SAVE button only appears when editing an existing aisle.
ToMarket Pro 1.7.38

ParticipantSince I updated my phone to KitKat, the thumb scroll button doesn’t appear on long lists anymore upon opening of the app. I have to go into settings and back out (make no changes) to get it to appear.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with latest version of TM Pro.

ParticipantAdding to my previous post, the thumb scroll button also doesn’t show up after changing to another store. For example, I’ve already went into settings to get it to show up in the current store. I choose a different store in the drop down, no thumb scroll button again in the store I chose. I did discover that searching for an item and then clearing the search box also makes the thumb scroll button show up. It is apparently a refresh issue within the app that KitKat somehow brought about as I never had the issue in the last 3+ years.

ParticipantWell, we’ve left a few reports with no response. Is this forum being monitored? It would be different if I was expecting a fast response on a free app, but I paid for this one several years ago and don’t think it’s asking too much for at least an acknowledgment that these issues are being worked on or at least added to a to-do list of fixes.
Sad to say this has been pretty normal for issues with this app for years- several weeks or months go by without so much as a peep in response. Considering moving to another grocery list app that I’ll have to shell out even more money for if this one isn’t being developed any more.

ParticipantThe author has had personal problems beyond his control for many months now, and hasn’t had time to deal with the app. As a retired programmer myself, one thing I learned is that you can often find a way to use the data for a way to get the program to do what you want, or at least get close to it.

KeymasterHey everyone! Yes, life is a lot busy for me in many ways lately as Dan said and I apologize for the slow response. The fast scroll issue is one that is found in the Android system itself. There is a “forceful” fix that I found for it and I have published 1.7.39 and 1.7.40 to fix the issue a few moments ago – it should show up in the market soon.
Thanks,

KeymasterThe aisle maintenance mode is for global changes to aisles (think renaming and deleting). To add new aisles, you must be in the store change mode as the aisles are 1:1 tied to stores – long press the item and choose “Change Stores for Item” – then use the blue aisle button to change/add aisles.
This functionality is also available by pressing the blue aisle button when you are in a specific store in your list.
Thanks,

ParticipantWell, I installed 1.7.40 last night hoping to fix my missing scroll bhtton, but it’s worse now. Before this latest update, I could at least get the scroll button by going into menu-tools-preferences and backing out. Now, I never get the scroll button, no matter what I do. I’ve rebooted my device with no luck either. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running stock Android 4.4.2.

ParticipantAdding to my previous post here since I see no way to edit posts. I actually can get the scroll button to show up only when editing or adding an item in a store, now. When changing stores, I can briefly see the scroll button, but it disappears again until I edit or add an item.

ParticipantI had to get a new phone, but made sure to back up my ToMarket list before making the swap so the repair technician could wipe the phone. Now the most recent backup file I have on my SD card is from over a year ago (I searched both the sd0 and sd1 ToMarket export folders and hooked the phone up to my laptop to search for all ToMarket.csv files) and is unlike the list I had on the most recent phone. I started a specialized diet late last year and had built up a significant list of items with my own set of categories and details, ratings, stores, etc. I hope that all of these items and the related purchase history I had built up is not completely gone. Can you provide any other suggestions where the file might be? You should have a way to send the back up files (items and purchase history) to an external source (e.g. email, OneDrive or Google Drive).

Keymasterram47 –
The backup is made to the SD0 location. If this is the phone’s internal memory, then it is placed there. If the phone only has an external SD, it places it there. It sounds like you may have copied the files to the phone the last time you updated and then either moved them to the “correct” destination or imported them from the place you copied them. Future backups were made to the SD0. I think you may have copied those before turning the device into the tech. It may be that you lost the latest backups due to something along those lines. When you backup, making sure the data looks correct before relying on it is the best bet. You can set any directory (Dropbox – Menu, upload here, other files). Sorry for any inconvenience.

ParticipantAn update to the recent version, 1.7.40, on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 running Android 1.6 results in persistent crashes. If there is no impending fix, would it be possible to obtain the previous version?

ParticipantI can confirm bsmits’s bug report. ToMarket Pro 1.7.47 running on Nexus 4, Android 4.3. Also, the list name at the top has disappeared.
Is there any way to get the previous version back?
