KeymasterSumbit feature requests for the app here!

ParticipantHi
I am lefthanded and make a lot of mistakes when the checkboxes are on the left side of the screen.
Please add an option to select the side of the checkboxes, left or right. Both in Settings and Shoppinglists.
Thank you.

ParticipantIf you go to the preferences (Menu,More,Tools,Preferences) there is an option to “Use Full Line Select”. This way you don’t have to hit the checkbox, just tap anywhere in the line to check or uncheck the item.
Scroll thru the preferences, there is a lot of good stuff in there that gives you a lot of control over the app. As Usual, I suggest you do one thing at a time, then make sure it’s doing what you think it should. If not, go back an uncheck it.

ParticipantMy problem is hitting the checkbox accidentally.
I hold the phone on my right hand and use left hand to scroll the list. If the checkbox is on the left side, I hit it too often.Thank you for your tip anyway

ParticipantOk, figured out another way that should help.
Use the Full Line Select feature, and then change the Check Box size in the options, to small or tiny. That will make it much harder to accidently select, because the box will be much smaller. Best I can come up with.

ParticipantI’ve been using TM Pro for years and would really like to see the option to keep the screen on in settings. As it is now, I have to use another app specifically for this purpose or go into the settings of my phone and change the screen time-out. Pretty sure I mentioned this in the old forum, but not sure.

ParticipantI would like to be able to select existing items as needed more easily than scrolling for them or keying in for a search. To that end I think it’d be very helpful to have a
SORT BY <times purchased>
option, descending of course. In that way the things we buy regularly will be at the top of the list.
I could achieve something similar with RATING, but that takes effort and TIMES PURCHASED would be automatic and self-correcting.’
Cheers,

ParticipantThe author of the program has been unable to deal with it due to personal problems beyond his control, so new features may be a while in coming.
As a programmer myself, I’ve learned that often you can manipulate the data to get it to do what you need, in the limits of the way the code works now.
Off the top of my head, you could prefix the items you need to consider every time you go to the grocery store, with a special character, i.e. * This way they will always be at the top of the list, for your consideration as to if you need them or not. Would be more work, but you could also date the item name. You might also consider playing with the “Category” option, where items you need to check every time, would be easily accusable.
Play around with stuff like that, you can probably come up with something that will work.

ParticipantMike – I sent you an email about this. Didn’t realize I needed to re-register for this new forum.
Recently had 25-30 items self delete from list. Restored backup, but it was old. Items permanently lost now.
Older versions used to have an auto backup feature. Could you please bring back that feature?
Thanks.

ParticipantI’ve become addicted to apps like Google Keep because I can add a note on my phone and have it appear on my tablet and vice versa. I would love it if ToMarket could do that. I’ve had this app for years, love it! I’ll investigate some kind of hack like backing up to Google drive or something in the mean time.

ParticipantYou might just try sending yourself a text, which will be available to all devices. On the device open TM, and if your SMS app is like Handcent, the icon in notification area will have the item(s) available to add to TM. True you will have to add them to the need list on each device, but it just takes a few seconds to do that.
With TM opened, just swipe down on the Notification area. This will display the SMS list you sent yourself. I did test this idea and it works fine on my cellphone and tablet.
You could probably do the same thing with an email, but then you would have to switch between two apps, which depending on your devices may be a pain or easy.

ParticipantCustomers have been begging TM to make it sync for years. If TM won’t create a web interface where customers can log in and see and edit their list, then at least TM could put the database in the open where anyone can sync it with Dropbox or Sugarsync or Cubby and not have to manually backup, move, sync, move again, restore.

ParticipantI’d like to see synchronization between two or more installations of the program. This would be useful for families who want to maintain a master shopping list and have it distributed to everyone.
Currently, I maintain it and then text the shopping list to my wife, but it would be nice if she always had my latest updates and vice versa.
My compelling argument for implementing this feature is that it would increase the number of purchases of the app.

ParticipantThis is a big request. Now since android wear is out, just wondering if you can intergrade To market in to Android wear watchies

ParticipantI love this app and use it almost everyday. Are there plans to make it wear capable?
